Background

China is the 3rd biggest country in the world, right behind Russia and Canada. Although it may not be the biggest country size wise, it has the highest population. China's population is at almost 2 billion people. Their population growth is extremly high. And this issue is occuring al through out China especially on the east side of the country.

Location

China is located in Asia. It is the largest Country in the Asian Continent, and the third biggest in the world. It has Russia, Mongolia, North Korea, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and Bhutan. China has lots of plains, mountains (like Mount Everest), basins, and plateaus. Religion wise, China is mainly Buddhist, but legally the Country is soppuse to be atheist. It has a communist Government. The economy is mainly agricultural.

Develpoment

  • 1978 Deng Xiaoping launched what he called a "second revolution" that involved reforming China's moribund economic system and "opening up to outside world."

This second revolution was that modernization of china is going to be a social one.

  • In 1979 the One Child Policy was put into affect by Deng Xiaoping.

Since this policy has been in affect it has reduced population growth in China of 1.3 billion by as much as 300 million people over its first twenty years.

Impact

China's high increasing population growth is a serious issue affecting many things in the Country.
like,
  1. The once-child-per-family program.
  2. Tons of pollution, over-crowding, and flooding.
  3. Large rural society, and mainly agricultural.
  4. Communist

Future

In the future if China's population is so great the pollution is almost unberible.

China's economic growth and active diplomacy are already transforming East Asia. China is on an economic uprise and the western system might be overthrowed.

Big Picture

China's population growth is a problem, not only for china but for the enviorment. The One child policy has been helping decrease the population. Pollution in China is because of the all the people;driving cars, and more houses, apartments, ect. If the population rapidly starts to decrease China can then start to become cleaner!
